Did you all miss us like crazy and cry yourself to sleep at night because we were gone gone gone? Well, we're back. We went to visit family in California, and we are sure wishing we could have just stayed and stayed! Here is what we did:
With Ryan's family, we stayed at the lakehouse at Lake Almanor.
I have tried to describe the magic of this place to several people, but I just can't. It is the most wonderful place on earth. The house is right on the lake. This picture shows what you see from the back porch. (I realize Ryan and Lydia are not posing very well. Look past them, to the lake.)
The neighbors have a water trampoline, which they so generously share.
Lydia had a lot of fun playing with her cousins, Liam and Lucy.
Anthony was the king of making babies smile.
Lucy and Lydia had matching outfits. Lucy was so good at sitting still for the camera, but Lydia would never stay in one place very long to take a good picture.
Ryan had to finally pick her up and show her how to do it.
The babies enjoyed using Ryan as a climbing gym.
Liam's parents subjected him to cruel and unusual punishment
And Grandma Diane loved spending time with her babies, even the 4 legged one.
Then we went to visit the Brown side in Tracy. We had a BBQ, went out to pizza, went swimming, and went to the beach.
We got to see Troy and Cindy's kids a lot, which was tons of fun. They're growing up too fast!
This is the spot where Ryan proposed to me. Awwww...how cheesy are we?
Grandpa enjoyed the beach the only way he knows how. Covered head to foot and working.
In his defense, it was a cold day.

Looks like a great time! The picture of your dad at the beach has me cracking up. I guess we all enjoy life in different ways. Oh and I am sure I will probably subject my poor child to the same water safety treatment Liam got. That's soo funny.

I think you caught the magic. I miss you all so much already, especially Lydia's big happy smile. I use to love the beach, but now I think like your Dad. I'll go, but I'd rather not subject myself to all that sand and wind and cold. It's been a long time since I've been there on a warm day. The Lake is better.
Looks like so much fun...especially the trampoline on the lake. I need one of those. =) How long were you gone for? Long enough that I started to miss you bloggin. lol
So jealous! It looks like you guys had an awesome time. I miss Cali! Oh and of course you guys too! A couple more weeks and we can play!
