Red Butte Gardens

We spent a day at the University of Utah's Red Butte Gardens. They were oh-so-pretty. Lydia was very excited to see some fantastic flowers and plants.

They had these archways covered with wisteria between each garden. So pretty!

We took a romantic walk through this tree covered path.

We held hands while we swung on the pretty swings. (Just pretend Ryan is next to me. There was only Ryan, me, and Lydia. Who else was going to take the picture?)

Lydia quickly got bored of nature and spent the rest of the day involved in more material pursuits.

So we meandered over to the fabulous kid's area. By the time we got there, this was Lydia's reaction.

The kid's area was so cool! They had waterfalls, teepees, a maze in the shape of a snake, giant lizards, forts, and much more! We really wished we had a kid old enough to play, but had to make do with what we had.

The highlight of the trip was our discovery of a plant named Lydia!

So we had to take her picture with it (of course). She wasn't as impressed as her momma, however.

OK, next time I come to Utah, we can skip Gardner Village. I want to go to these gardens. You guys are the best for finding great things to do. Lydia's smile is as pretty as the garden. Love you all.
